2014 Dodge Challenger Design and Technology Information
The five-seat coupe 2014 Dodge Challenger comes in four main trim levels - SXT, R/T, SRT8 392 and SRT8 Core. Standard features found at the SXT trim level include keyless entry and ignition, power accessories, cruise control, automatic climate control, tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, power driver's seat, audio system with auxiliary input and more. Options available on the SXT include leather upholstery, heated front seats, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, satellite radio, USB, metal accented pedals, upgraded floor mats, a t-handle shifter, heated mirrors, remote start, upgraded touch-screen entertainment system and more. The R/T trim features fewer interior comfort amenities in lieu of a larger engine, but option packages can add that equipment back in to the equation. Other options available at the R/T trim level include a sunroof, premium Harman Kardon audio and more. The SRT8 392 trim level adds an upgraded trip computer, touchscreen sound system, a one-day driver's training course and more. Options on this trim level include the Harman Kardon audio, sunroof and navigation. The SRT8 Core is more stripped down and has amenities closer to the SXT trim level.
2014 Dodge Challenger Performance Information
Every trim level of the 2014 Dodge Challenger features rear-wheel drive. The base-level SXT has a 3.6L V6 engine under its hood capable of 305 HP and 268 lb-ft of torque. This trim comes standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission and achieves 21 MPG combined fuel economy. The R/T trim level features a 376HP 5.7L V8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed automatic transmission is available as an option and this engine is capable of 19 MPG combines and a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds. The Challenger SRT8 trim levels are powered by a 6.4L V8 capable of 470 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque. As with the R/T, a six-speed manual transmission is the standard configuration with a 5-speed automatic available as an option. With this engine, you can go 0-60 in as little as 4.5 seconds and get combined fuel economy of 17 MPG.
